I hope these lil ones hatch, you seem very ready to help them be the Canada's they are suppose to be. We have a pair of Canada's in out mountain river below our home, the last 2 yrs they have nested on a small island which when we get lots of rain floods so they have lost their nest the last 2 yrs from flooding. we were so hoping they would choose a different spot this year, but nope she is sitting down there again same place, already once the water got up to the nest and she stood over them till it receded and since then it has not happened again but everytime they say rain we get nervous, today included. We figure they have probably till end of week to hatch. Alot of folks look at Canad's as nuisance's we see them as something that has just as much a right to be here as the rest of us, and so hope they get their gosling this year. I hope for the best for these you have rescued please let us know. and shared that story to say, I just don't think they can relate to this is not a good place to have a nest or when the nest gets moved they can process what happened to it. when this goose lost her nest they hung around for close to a week before they left they just couldn't figure it out. It was very sad.Ah, I'm sorry. I just misunderstood. I thought it was a sarcastic "fabulous"
Thank you for your support though, I've already had quite a few critical and rude remarks and I'm just feeling a bit defensive..
