Help! Will this attract predators?

I lost my favorite hen last week to a skunk. My dog was just out playing in the yard, and dug the body up from where I had burried her. If I wait until my boyfriend gets home from work in about 8 hours, and let him re-bury her, will it attract more predators? The type of grass we have has ridiculous roots, and I am not strong enough to break through them, so I wasn't able to get the hole as deep as it probably needed to be.

Why not just double bag the bird and set it out for the trash in a container with a lid. It will be disposed of in a land fill. Dogs and predators have a keen sense of smell. Our dogs can smell field mice down underground and often dig craters and find dead critters.
