Help! Will this make them sick?

There's no draft from the heater. It's not a blowing kind of heater. It's just coils that heat up and it has a cage around it to keep you (or chickens) from getting burnt. Think of it as a giant toaster oven which is basically all it is...just coils that heat up to release heat.

Thanks for the additional feedback. I might consider bringing them in the garage tonight in a dog crate because it's supposed to get really cold again, but I'll see how they do today.

I have to be honest I've never heated my chicken coop. But I hatched 4 biddies in January & used a heater similar to the one you have & left it running alot. I didn't have a problem with it. I think I'm through with raising biddies when its freezing cold out not I have 48 eggs in the oven as I type & February is a cold month as well.
