Help With 11 Week Old Brahma

Hi there!

I have a Brahma just shy of 11 weeks and I’d love some help identifying which type it is. Any info helps!

Yes, very much so. That’s what I had gotten off of mypetchicken.com, but sometimes you just never know. The dark feathers on the breast were throwing me off!

Yah, I was thinking maybe dark, but all the pics I saw were VERY dark!

I agree and they seem dark all over. I really should just be patient, but what’s the fun in that haha. Thanks for the help!

Darn! I had a sneaking suspicion ‘she’ may have been a ‘he’. Luckily I’ve had that feeling since week 1 and have been handling him a lot and he’s a sweet chicken, but we’re in an urban community and I don’t think he’ll be very welcome. Thanks for the clarification on that!

Light Brahma

I don't see anything pointing straight to cockerel. It does have a larger comb, but it's not red. I would wait until its 13 weeks, then post more pics, as this is when male feathering comes in.
