Help with a baby pigeon

hi all

I rescued this little guy yesterday, he is a feral and my hubby found it next to their dead parent, I don’t know what happened as it was sat on the pavement so hubby with a huge heart scooped it up and now I’m in need of some help.

He/she has very swollen almost balloon like skin under neath his wings closer to his hips/legs, on both sides, I’m just wondering if there is anything I can do to help him/her?

Also I’m struggling to feed it as it won’t take much of anything, which I’m trying to feed it little and often a little readybrek made with water in a syringe, any tips would be gratefully received in helping him/her survive

I don’t at the moe, I can get pictures when I return from work, but it was both sides now it is just one, the other side is deflated

It’s not as large as yesterday but still puffed up

Another pic of his bad side it’s not puffy any more, but he/she is still alive as of this evening (10pm uk time I left him/her for 12ish hours for work) and is eating ready brek from a syringe and seems to be ok
