Help with algebra

Hi, you can tell by the bame of the thread that I need help with algebra. I'm homeschooled and do all my work on a computor and i don't have anyone to ask for help. I'm a year behind and i really need help. PLEASE.

I'm learning about quadratic formulas and discriminants.

I'm supposed to use the descriminant to describe the roots of each equation. Then select the best description.

4 options for the answer are

Double Root
Real and Rational Root
Real and Irrational Root
Imaginary Root

If you don't understand any of this than its ok. I'll figure it out.
