Help with baby silkies!!

I know it’s late guys, but I just need some really quick info!!

So do my 2 week old silkies need a heat lamp over night?? I crocheted two little beds for them (pic attached) but will that be enough?? I don’t want them to get too cold!! It’s around 70 or above in our house, they’re in a little tub that we’ve used for a brooder once before.

It's been a while since I had chicks so this would be much more organized reading. Short answer they'll need some extra warmth.

Adorable & cozy but yes they do need some heat, Notaneggspurt posted a good link. You may want to consider a heating pad (MHP article by Blooie). I used to use a regular light bulb (40watt) but since reading & trying out MHP, I'm sold. Chicks are quieter, less skittish and have a night & day. Your babies look so cozy & seem to be ok, you've got them in the house noting temps 70+ but at 2wks they should have a bit more warmth.
New hatchlings start off around 95*, 5* less every week, when fully feathered no heat necessary.

Agree with above. Regardless of what route you go, they need added heat of some kind. The nest is super cute though!

Thanks all of you for your replies!! I read that article you attached @Notaneggspurt. It really helped, the babies were happy, healthy, and warm this morning. Already had to refill the feeder twice
