S/he is 2 months old. The comb isn't high at all, but its turning red and so are the wattles. The picture isn't very good, but the bottom of the comb is almost as red as the wattles, top is still whitish. Is this normal for a BO pullet, or is it most likely a roo?

I think it looks like a pullet too but my BO's only had light pink comb and wattles at that age last year. They really didn't turn bright red till they were almost ready to lay. The tail feathers look different than my pullets did too but it's not really a good picture of the tail so I don't know!

Wow, pullet, really? Even with the wattles being so red already? I just don't want to get attached and have it start crowing. Thanks for the opinions!

I have a group of BOs that are 5 weeks old and I have been able to tell that a few of them were roos. I sold them. But this one, even being older has had me stumped.

The younger group. Some of these are keeping me guessing as well.

One of the group I am hoping is a pullet.
