Thanks JakRat and Silkiemomma for your insight into the "teenage" time. I am going to work with him and love him and just wait and see who he becomes. I owe him that.

We have been spending more hands on time with them the past three days. The no-pic is helping my girls tremendously and they are already showing feather regrowth where he got them. My husband also held him and gave him a couple pretty firm finger pokes right in the middle of his back and told him, "how do you like that buddy"... hahaha and surprisingly he has settled down the past couple days.

I also didn't even think of getting him a girl thats his size, so I will be keeping that thought. Thanks for that.

I live in suburbia here and I made sure and called all the agencies that I needed, to even find out if I could have chickens. I was told I could have as many chickens as I wanted, but ONLY one roo. I am going to make sure that I get my one roo too. HAHA I just love the crowing. I really do! It just seems to start my day so happy.

I do have a chicken connection... my neighbors daughter... she lives a couple towns over and she can have as many roosters as she wants. I know she has all ages and sizes of chickens and currently has 4 large roosters. I know she is toying with the idea of culling them because even though she can have many roos, it really is 3 too many. She is in the same situation as I with the fighting issue, if we were to try to rehome, we just can't trust them not being used in a fight. I offered to do them for her when I processed my meaties, but she just wasn't ready.

Sooo, here are some questions:
I'm pretty sure I can get a bantam girl from her to keep my guy from feeling overwhelmed with so many BIG girls around, but...
1. Should I try and do that now with them being younger, or wait?
2. Should I try to get one the same-ish age? And with that said, if I was to wait until mine were more adult and I got one that was an adult too, then age wouldn't be so much of an issue because they would be more of the same size?
3. If I did trade my bantam with her for one of her full size roosters, should I also wait to take him because my girls are so young?

Part of me just wants to keep him because the Silver Duckwing OEGB is absolutely gorgeous... is that shallow of me?

3. that would be your call.. If you want to make sure he's safe, then keep him. thats what I am doing with Snow, my Red Pyle..
