Posted these a month or so ago, but they've matured enough I think you guys can help. They were part of an order from Ideal, a rare pullet special....They were hatched 2/1, so they are 3 months old...

#1

#2

#1 kinda looks like a Red Star but usually they are not so dark. Maybe a cross breed. The #2 is an Easter Egger. It looks JUST like my Lady Bird. How old are they? They both look like hens to me.

EDIT: The second one looks like a Red Dorking with some white on her head. Though I agree with Rooaroo, she could be a EE mix, but they aren't heritage. The first one, well, can't really tell, I'd have to see her standing to see her shape

Well, Welsummers have yellow shanks (legs) Red Dorkings look a lot like Welsummers, but they have pink shanks like the one above.

What's thrown us, is that it seems to have white earlobes. I don't think wellsummers have white earlobes.

the first one appears to have white earlobes while the 2nd one appears to have red but with hatchery chickens you can get off colors on legs and earlobes, like my oegb has a bit of white on his lobes when hes supposed to be solid red lobes
