Hello, I am looking for some help identifying some chicks I have acquired. They were brought into the reception class in the school I work in but they were in dreadful condition with some terribly deformed feet. After making some very fetching cardboard sandals for them they seem to have recovered but after the 2 weeks I just didn’t trust the breeder enough to return them so have ended up keeping them. I have chickens of my own but have never had them from chicks. They are 1 month old today and I was hoping someone might help me identify the breeds?
This is smudge. We think he may be a he as his comb and wattles went red quite early and he is the most boisterous.
This is Raddie. She’s probably the most flighty of them all.
This is is Alice (due to the Alice Cooper style eyeliner she had when first hatched).
This is Agnes. She is significantly larger and fluffier than the others and very placid.
And finally this is Minnie. She is slightly smaller than the others but had the most deformed feet of all of them and couldn’t walk at all. I spent so long with her that she is my little favourite!
