Help with breed please!

Hello, we held out hope that our large, very rooster like buddy was a hen. The wonderful wake up call trashed the hope! Please help with breed so I can get thus guy the best home possible. Thank you in advance.

Thank You! The family we rescued him from said barnevelder but that just never matched up with anything I could find. We can't have roosters which is a bummer because he is super sweet.

It could be Barnevelder RIR cross. Barnevelders tend to have darker neck feathers and tail feathers.
