Help with breed please

Hi everyone,
Help with identification here would be appreciated. The dark one has a beautiful gold neck.
Also, advice on how to get decent pictures as my chickens won't stand still for 5 seconds!

Best guess is a blue and a black copper maran. Do you happen to have pictures of the eggs they lay?

No eggs yet, any day now. Waiting desperately!

I agree with the others! My advice for taking pictures of your chickens is to get down on their level, throw treats, and make weird noises so they look up. If you mimic the trills they make when they alert each other of predators, they’ll usually look up and pose. Obviously I didn’t frequently do this because it’s not very nice to scare them but it’s good in a pinch. Most other weird noises you can think of will also get them to perk up and freeze. That’s how I’ve gotten my very clear shots with their necks extended Yours are also great for identification too!

I think it's just that my chickens have a wicked sense of humor and do it deliberately!
