I've gotten 7 chicks and 2 ducks for my first backyard flock. I've been waiting patiently since 2nd grade when we incubated chicks in class, to own my own birds! I'm now 33 so quite a wait. But I didn't think to get the breed names or do any research beforehand. I just picked a variety of the ones they had available. After much research and trial and error I have set up a temporary chicken tractor while we're putting our coop up, I'll post pictures of everything I need help with. So I have gotten down some chicks breed with almost certainty but would like confirmation from the more experienced backyard chicken diyers in this community. I would also like help with making sure I'm putting everything the chickens need into our coop we're building to have safe and happy chickens. We've already had a hawk scare in our backyard while I was in my compost digging around. The ducks alerted me quickly to a hawk that landed on the neighbors fence, I live in northern Utah and have NEVER seen a hawk that close up before. The birds were free ranging at the time and they hid under our car. That's why I built a chicken tractor the very next day. So I need help confirming breeds and the sex of one of the black copper marans, pretty sure they're BCM but I may be wrong. One of the pair has been chest bumping the other chicks. he/she has a way bigger comb then everyone else and is starting to gets it's wattle already. The white birds I have I thought were leghorns, but they have pink earlobes which points to white Plymouth rocks. Here we go with pictures now and I apologize for the extremely long discription on this! Thanks for your help!
Pic #1- is this a black copper marans and a rooster or pullet?
Pic #2- same bird as pic 1 but other angle
Pic #3- White Plymouth rock pullet or leghorn? Pretty sure it's wpr.
Pic #4- 2nd white bird
Pic #5- same bird as pic #1 but different angle
Pic#6- sister to bird in pic#1, you an see the difference in comb size and early wattle development.
Pic #7- is this a cuckoo marans pullet?
Pic #8- Welsummer pullet?
Pic #9 and beyond- coop being built and chicken tractor. We moved into this place and the previous tenants left all this scrap metal and other garbage we're now cleaning up. The old coop is dilapidated and is pictured on the right of the building goin up. We are tearing it down to put up a shed. The scrap metal/ garbage pictured on the left is going to be removed. How much space should we have for the birds outside of the hen house? I want to put a compost bin in the areas where the scrap metal is. I love compost and I know the chickens help speed up the process and it gives them scraps to feed on. I have 2 ducks and 9 chickens total, I forgot to mention I got a free scissor beaked chick last week and a silkie as a friend for it since the age gap is too steep now to put the new disabled chick in with my pullets until they're all adults. So how do I make this work with the space I have and to accommodate the chickens and ducks in one house and with an 8' × 20' SQ feet of land we can fence off for them? Any ideas?

first maran chick is a roo, and the cuckoo maran is a roo, the others look like pullets so far. where did you get them?
2 Roos! Oh no! I'm not allowed to have Roos haha, how did you decide with the cuckoo? I got them at the local Rockin' E country store. They are all supposed to be sexed as females to be layers. This sucks because I love them so much and am very attached to them as my first flock. The cuckoo had really horrible pasty butt when I got him, so I had to take extra care with washing his booty when he was little and putting butt cream on his vent every day. I am only allowed to have 8 chickens anyways and am not sure about my ducklings but got them when they were given to the feed store because the people couldn't care for them. Same thing with the scissor beak which I'm worried about. Anyways thanks so much for responding!

He has a big pink comb for only 9 weeks.

Blue birds look to be a pair of Blue or Blue Copper Marans (pullet and cockerel). Barred bird looks to be a Barred Rock pullet, red/brown bird a Production Red Pullet. The white birds look to be White Rocks rather than Leghorns due to body type
I agree with the white rocks for sure! Also with the blue copper marans and with one being a Roo. I came up with cuckoo vs. barred rock because of his feet, they are pink/ black and not yellow like the barred rocks are supposed to have. As for the production red, I just read it's like a blanket term for red birds vs an actual breed. So it could be a welsummer under that term correct? I am trying to pick up the terms and lingo quickly because I love researching whatever project I'm getting into so I can have good general knowledge and a healthy understanding of what I'm doing. Thanks for commenting!!

They are about 6 to 7 weeks now so if he looks like his comb is big and pink for a 9 week old than he is more than likely a roo. Dammit! Haha I need to rehime these as soon as they crow, hopefully I can find someone to take them. I cannot and will not be culling any birds!!

Your scissor beak seems to have the right eye missing? This is much more than just a scissor beak, as the lower mandibula is affected and it will get much worse within a few weeks.
It will need special attention and well filled and deep food and water dishes to be able to feed. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/scissor-beak.1378377/post-22658290

I would advise against housing ducks and chickens together. They need separate coops.

Yes the right eye is missing. When I saw her and noticed her condition it almost made me cry so I asked the store clerk about her and they didn't know what they were going to do with her and said she might not live very long. They offered her to me for free so I got her a buddy and took them home. I got her knowing she may not live long but wanted to do what I could to give her a fighting chance. I have researched the condition vigorously and made the necessary adaptations for eating for her. The beak has gotten much worse since Saturday when I got her and she is always trying to eat. She is very active and outgoing, she likes people and isn't afraid of them. She doesn't look or act sickly or lethargic so far and is the leader of her and her silkie friend. I also read about the beak trimming and have prepared myself mentally to need to trim it when necessary. I'm wondering when I should start doing that.

A Welsummer is a wildtype breed sometimes called golden duckwing or partridge. They are not red :) Production Red is a term for hatchery quality Rhode Island Red or maybe even New Hampshire Red, but most of the time RIR. Yours is a hatchery quality RIR. They differ so much from their respective breeds that Production Red is a good differentiator :) The feet looked yellow to me! If they're pink, then it's a Cuckoo Marans
