Hello all, so I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this question, but I'm going to ask anyway; as it's my first time having chickens. Little over 7 weeks in and I think I've got 2 cockerels. I wanted to wait until about 10 weeks or so to be sure before giving them away, but wanted to just ask you guys. I know some breeds turn red earlier than others, but I would assume this is still too early for them to be this red. I've looked around the other pictures on the boards for reference.

This is my Buff Orpington. Quite a bit bigger than the rest and somewhat aggressive, although tamed down once they finally got outside.

And here is my Golden Laced Wyandotte. They are smaller like all the other birds, but I know size isn't always an indicator either of sex.

The GLW is def a cockerel. The buff does give me a bit of pause, but would lean toward cockerel. If you are going to give them away, I would give the buff a few more weeks, watching the waddles very closely :)
