Help with bumble foot

So since this post i’ve been doing epsom salt soaks and applying prid. Today I pulled out the plug. I’m a little frustrated because the vet said the plug/infection was gone and mentioned surgery and suggested the possibility of putting her down.

Anyways, I got the plug out and applied neosporin and wrapped it. She already seems to be limping less. Now there’s a large hole in her foot though that I’m worried about. I added pictures. Does this look positive? How can I help the hole close up?

I agree with @Jenessa_096 keep it cleaned, pack with the neosporin and keep the foot wrapped.

It should close up if you do these things. Hopefully it will heal quickly and she will be much more comfortable.

You've done a great job getting that core out. Keep up an Epson salts soak for 10 minutes in warm water and beta-dine towel soak for 20 minutes each day. The wound should scab over with a brownish scab not black the the original would have been. Wrap and disinfect until the the scab that should form drops off, as you don't want to risk any chance of the infection working it's way into the foot again. The extra support of the bandaging would be good too. Good luck.
