Help with drug admin for goats...

Hi! Does anyone know if it is safe to give CD&T vax while a doeling is receiving penicillin? My baby is ready for her second does of vax, but she was attacked by the neighbor's dog and we are giving her penicillin for her wounds. Not sure how to proceed.

CD&T should not interfere with the antibiotics. CD&T is not a live virus (I don't believe) so the antibiotics shouldn't affect it either. You should check out http://www.backyardherds.com/

Yup. It's safe. However, if the goat is fighting an infection, her immune response may not be what it should be and the vaccine may not confer optimum protection. Therefore, give the CD/T now, but give her another booster in three or four weeks.
