hi guys I have completely fouled up and lost track of what day my broody hen started sitting on her eggs. I am in the middle of moving homes, and started building the new coop and just forgot to write the date on her eggs!
Can anyone take a look at the video I took today and let me know what day you think the eggs are on?
Thanks in advance!!

Thanks,
Yes I have looked through so many pics only to say... hmmm. It looks like it could be day 10, but...
I do know that on February 12th I removed eggs from under her.
I can't remember if I left them on Feb 13th or if I left them on the 15th.
If I say the 15th is when I just let her be thenthat would put me at about 10-11 days so far

I was going to say at least a week but not two. And I love her telling you the eggs are fine and she wants back on the nest! :gig:jumpy
I know right! She was so mad!!
I am trying to figure out about what day I should have her nest put on the ground.
I tried to move her to a more appropriate spot so any chicks that hatch won't tumble to the ground. She freaked out and refused to accept my suggestion of a much safer place for her and chicks.

Oh well, I will just wait till right before they hatch and just put the nest on the ground or if she flips out again, I will just make a ramp for any that decide to venture out.
I already put a little barrier around the box so she doesn't get pulled off the nest like she was previously.
She is one of the lower hens on the pecking order, of want to make sure she succeeds.

You could add a higher edge to the box so she can get out but the chicks can't. Then once they hatch move her. I wouldn't think she would leave them after that.
