Help with feeding my meaties

Raising my 1st batch of 10 cornish cross and messed up by starting them on 18% chick starter. They have been on it for 2.5 weeks now. I went to the mill today and they said to get a 50 lb bag of 22% and mix in with the rest of their 18% (there is probably only 5-10 lbs left). I see that usually they are go 22% to 20% to a 18% finisher. Question is: Am I going from 18 to 22 and then bring them back down to 18 after the bag is out? Thanks!

Yeah. I would get the bag of 22% and mix it in until your out of the 18% and then 4 weeks out from butcher drop it back down to 18%.
