Help with figuring out breeds, please?

I thought I could tell them apart but I keep getting them confused. Mind helping me out a little?

We ordered: New Hampshire (Red), Red Star, Welsummer, Rhode Island

Would vote you have them in the order, Welsummer, RIR, NHR and Red Star... The Wels should be brownish, the RIR the darkest red, the RS should have the lightest wing feathers coming in, the NHR inbetween.

I agree with Kelsey2290.

And they can be really difficult to tell apart depending on how the hatchery bred the chicks.

Depending on how the hatchery made the red stars ... if when grown, the hen has white tipped tail feathers and a fair bit of white under the red, then it's a red star. But not all hatcheries will make red stars that way. The RI Red and the New Hampshire shouldn't have any white on them.

Thanks guys. I'm just printed their pics and labeled them to help the kids. I can't keep their names straight let alone a chicken.
