I have my first set of chicks, seven of them. According to the lady I got them from, they should be 6ish weeks old. I was hoping for mostly hens, maybe one or two roos, but I think I got two hens and the rest roos. Could you possibly try to identify these birds as pullet or cockerel? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!! (two of them are too young yet, I think, to identify their gender)

One (roo? has wattles also)

I believe this one to be a roo, b/c compared to another one that looks the same (chick three) the comb is bigger and much more red and it has wattles.

Comb is actually much more pink IRL than it is in the picture

I also think they are really pretty. I'll be disappointed if most of them turn out to be roos and I just end up butchering them. We only want one roo, and I'm keeping the black and orange one.

I can usually tell when the feathers fully come in all the way the roo will not have a feather mass at the tail feathers, the hens will be very erect the tail feathers of the roo takes longer to mature. The roo also will usually grow a larger crown and under it's beak will develop a fold if skin, Also the character of the roo will be a protector. usually the last to run when spooked. hope this will help by watching there barn yard behavior.
