Help with hatching Call Duck eggs - internally pipped 28+hrs

That's what I figured plus he was cold not warm. I opened the shell, and the membrane was paper-like and stuck to him. It did not look like there was any internal hole either. I took him all the way out of the shell and he had partially absorbed his yoke but not fully. Any ideas why he would have shrink-wrapped inside the shell? Should I be worried about the others? They all were either clicking or chirping and I saw movement.

Movement and noise is great signs... no, he wasn't shrink wrapped, just DIS... membrane looks like that normally... shrink wrapping would have the membrane separated from the shell all around where the embryo was, not just in the air cell area...

So my question now is, do I need to change what I am doing with the other 8, or do I just leave them as is? I have a make shift incubator set up, but it may not reliably keep temp/humidity stable. Also, how long is too long to wait for them to externally pip? If I need to assist any, is an incubator a must? ...not much time to go and find one, but if I need it I'd have to start searching now.

Let the mother handle it for now - she might even end up helping them to hatch if they need it. If you do have to assist, it's much easier to do it in a controlled environment like an incubator than under a broody, so I would test your homemade one and see if you can get it stable, just in case.

Ok. Thanks! Will hope for the best and fine tune incubator just in case. Also, some photos from earlier. .
