Hello, I have a friend with a canal near her house and she sometimes would go to look at the ducks and the moorhens. Last time she went she saw an injured male Muscovy on the ground. The next day she came back and he was still there. She decided to capture it and try to help it. She brought it to me since I have a few of my own but I'm not sure what the duck could have. I'm sure the problem is in the bottom of its foot because it can stretch its leg and move it but it doesn't place it on the ground. When he lays down for example he stretches out behind him. I took a picture and if anyone can help me please do. I would like to get this duck back to the canal. Anything helps!

He is still limping and I'm not sure what I can do. I'm thinking about releasing it back to its canal but I'm scared he will get worse without help. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

it could possibly be Bumble foot or maybe an infection, i would take him inside and get a luke warm bath going for the little guy, then i would try to clean his foor with water at first just so u can get a good luck at it.

Ok and if it looks like a cut or infection here is what i do whenever this happens to me.

Peroxide the wound first, and they are gonna squerm because yeah it kinda stings, then i would get some vetericin wound care and rubbing alchol mix and apply that on there. then i get a cotton ball and get some neosporine on it and put that directly on the wound, i then lay the foot flat and wrap gaws around it to secure the cotton ball, and in about a few days that usually works for me(repeating the process once everyday), but his might be worse so it might take more time.

So I did it (very hard to do with a untamed duck) and here it how it looks now
I'm stating to think it might be bumble foot but I would like to know what you think

How many times do I apply the treatment. Like once a day or once every 2
