Hello

I have 2 males, a mallard and a runner, not quite a year old yet, then in March got 2 we weren't sure til they started quacking female mallards.
We put the females in with our chickens because when I tried to introduce them -with them in a bin- the mallard tried to reach in and bite at them.
They're now bigger and when they quack both males run for and quack at them.
I took a female to introduce through the gate, but again the mallard got aggressive.
I don't mind if I have to keep them with the chickens, the chickens raised the boys so they don't mind lol, but it would be nice to maybe get them in with the boys.

Thank you 😊

You're either going to need to get rid of a drake or get about 6 more girls. I imagine he's just trying to mate with her. My Drake will chase the girls around and bite their necks when mating. However I don't think a 1:1 ratio on the ducks is good.

thank you, and yeah reading thru more i am going to wait til i can get more females. 🙂
my girls got out of the chicken pen this morning and were just standing next to the boys' pen, no one pecking at eachother, it was like a they were just having a nice visit lol

i also stand corrected as far as breeds, they are khaki campbells not mallards. 😊
