This is my second time incubating eggs. I had one egg hatch on day 21. We’re now at day 27 and three eggs haven’t pipped. I checked them and one wasn’t fully developed. The other two were so before tossing I opened them some. The first chick was still in there and moved when touched so I put it down. I opened the second one and the chick was moving a lot. I attempted to help it hatch and then encountered some bleeding and left it alone, but most of the egg was off at this point. The yolk is still attached and the chick is making no effort to get out of the membrane fully. Upon trying to put it inside of a container with a moistened gauze, the yolk was stuck in the holes on the incubator tray and ruptured slightly. Chick will move with touch. How likely is it that these chicks will survive in the incubator with moistened gauze under and on them?

Hi, and welcome to BYC! :frow

I think the first one should be okay, but the second one with the ruptured yolk I doubt, depending on how much and how fluid it was. Usually, they absorb that and then it dries up. I'd have the humidity up to around 70%.

I'd recommend getting a separate hygrometer/thermometer and double-check your temperature. Many of us use Govee brand from Amazon. They shouldn't be taking six extra days to hatch.
