Hi... I have coturnix jumbo quail. I just want to khow if LED lighting will work for helping with egg laying,or is it just the traditional lighting that works. Because I heard quail need 14 hours of daylight to lay eggs.

The LED should work. And yeah 14 hours should be fine. Make sure to turn it off at night cause I have learned that they will go crazy if the light is constantly on. (Just be warned that doing this through the winter will kill them as the winter gives such a tiny bird some time off from laying).

LED should be fine. I always go for something along the lines of "full spectrum" to mimic actual sunlight as best as possible, but my quail live indoors 24/7.
