hey there
for the past two months I have been trying to merge 2 flocks together. The original flock has a total of 14 hens and one rooster. The flock I'm trying to merge in has one tiny tiny silkie hen, a maran, and a small but feisty silkie roo.
The first time I tried merging them together didn't end so well as the silkie hens head was completely bald and bloody so I had to separate them. Now attempt two was today. Poor little silkie hen keeps getting bullied by the queens of the original flock. The silkie roo is VERY protective of his flock which is a another problem. He keeps attacking, chasing, and pulling head feathers from the hens of the other flock.
So know what should I do? I know it will take sometime for them to get along but I'm just at lost at what to do and separating them back is not an option.
