My handsome fella was bought at TSC in TN. I believe the hatchery they use is Hoovers.
My daughter supposedly brought a "sapphire gem" sexlinked chick home, along with a golden comet. Our first chicken experience with 2 future egg laying hens. lol
Luckily, he is a wonderful cockerel! Social, not aggressive, and a provider and protector of his girl.
I'm looking to add more pullets asap to even out the 1 to 1 ratio. I'd love to get some knowledgeable input on what is this fella's breed!
Pictures show from a week old up to today.
Thanks!!

I have been combing (haha) through pictures on Google.
He doesn't seem to be as fluffy as an Orpington looks...as of yet..
But, are blue Australorps popular in the US?
They both seem wonderful (great mix up, if he is one).
I'd love to find some pullets!

A Blue Jersey Giant would have yellow feet bottoms.

@JedJackson will tell me if this is wrong, I don't have the blue variety of either breed, but if you look at the bottoms of the feet you should be able to tell. Orpingtons will have white feet bottoms and Australorps have more of a pink tint. Hatchery Orpingtons aren't as fluffy as what you see on Google or get from a breeder.
