Ok I am putting the sand into my coop today. Below the sand I have pavers and hardware cloth. Now I need to figure out the feed/water. How do I hang it? I can't even visualize this! I'm stumped! I want the chicks out TODAY! What do I do?? Then I need to do roosts...that I think I can figure out but any suggestions are welcome

It would help to see what you are working with. For the water, you might consider putting it on something instead of hanging it. Different ones act differently, but some waterers will leak or lose water a lot if they are swinging, while if you put them on a base about the height of the back of your smallest chicken, they work pretty well.

Again the type of feeder you have can make a difference, but I just put a hook on a rafter in the coop and ran a rope down from that.

I can't post pics as I'm on my phone. And I should have mentioned I have ducks and they will be staying in the coop until the run is finished. If I set it up on something how I can I prevent my ducks from making mud? Just a temporary thing...mybe something under the waterer like some wood or linoleum? I can keep the ducks inside if I have to...but id rather not...

I'm not sure what they are called, but you can buy metal "shepards hooks" at most any hardware, gardening or department store. They are for hanging flower baskets, you just stick them in the ground like a stake and hang a flower basket off the hook ( my wife has several of them on our land ) but you could hang a feeder off it. The waterer may swing and spill, but I don't see why you couldn't tie a second string around the waterer and then tie it to the stake part to stabilize it.
