So sorry to hear your gal isn't feeling well. Molting is quite hard on birds, especially Australorps who have more feathers than the standard large chicken breed. Has she been wormed recently? Worms eat the food that the bird is consuming and will cause a lot of weight loss. Fall/winter is always a good time to worm the flock.
