Ok I got my incubator, but there is no place to put water. Instructions say there should be.
where should I put it then. I don't think you just fill the bottom that would be too much surface.

Also it says to subffumigate with pottasium permangnate and formalin. Where do I get this and do you really have to.
I don't like chemicals much, and I am pretty sensitive to them.

Well lets start with:
where you are?
What brand and type of incubator?
What type of eggs?

And I do not have a clue what subffurnogate and all that is so cant help with that...maybe they are talking cleaning after and maybe before adding eggs to hatch? ???

The only thing I can comment on is the subfumagation, they are talking about sterilizing it before use by vaporizing liquids to coat all surfaces. While I don't know too much about potassium permangnate, I know formalin is formaldehyde typically diluted to 35%. Personally I think you can sterilize with way less sensitivity upsetting things, like straight vinegar or 10:1 diluted bleach.
Good luck!

Great cleaning tips, thanks guys!

As far as the water, perhaps a wet sponge is appropriate? Cutting a sponge into pieces and wetting it, then placing in incubator for a few hours/days prior to actually adding eggs. Add more sections to achieve appropriate humidity - especially during lockdown. I have a Hovabator with a water tray so this is merely a possible suggestion.

Please keep us posted on your experience with that incubator, as I have not seen/read about one of those before.

Good luck and I hope you have a successful hatch!)
