For the one I had that had a wonky leg, I made it a "donut" shape out of polar fleece - just took a rectangle and rolled it up and safety-pinned the ends together. Then I sat the chick in the middle of the donut. Tended to stay upright longer that way. Eventually it came out fine. It had the donut helper for a couple of weeks.
