Whoa, whoa what's this? Is this true? Because one of my WC blues has two tiny bumps for a comb at 14 weeks! This is the same bird that ran at me when I turned my back yesterday (but stopped when I turned to look at her). I though she was just coming to grub for another treat, but now I wonder...

Her crest is still a poof ball though. I'm going to have to go get recent pictures now...

But wait, on one of the Polish Breeder sites I found this:

"*Something to consider when breeding is the comb on the hen. Pull the crest back. Check to see if she has a comb. The hen without a comb is the one you want to use to keep the comb off the cockerel. "

That implies that the polish hens CAN have combs although it is not desirable...

Well now I am really confused lol

I gave my Buff one to my friend and took back the white one I had previously given her, but it has just barely the start of those little 'horns'. So I figured he was a boy too.

Now I will have to go out today and compare both of my white ones really well to see if I can see any difference before I sell the one I thought was a roo.
