Help with Quail eggs

I’m sorry no one else is responding, but if this is any help, I do know that turning is especially vital during the first part of incubation, and after that, it is still important but not as essential.

Personally I would keep turning for another week or so because, based on the pics of your candling, they won’t look ready to hatch by then. I would keep turning until then, or until you hear peeps coming from the eggs, whichever comes first.

That’s just my take, but you can do whatever you want because no matter what you do, you’ve still given them a better chance of living than leaving the eggs to die.

@PhelanChick how did it go? Turning the eggs till you see an external pip would not affect them at all. In fact that is what I do. I hope you had a good hatch. Sorry no one else got to your message. If you ever have something like this happen again you might want to post it in the quail forums.

Thanks for your reply!! No one popped yet but we have some rocking and rolling going on. So hard when I don't know when she started setting but we will do our best!

@PhelanChick Are there any pips? I am currently hatching gambels as well, and their pips are sometimes almost unnoticeable. What I tend to notice is they really only start chirping and moving after they have pipped.

No pips that I can see. A couple are rocking ans rolling pretty good. I can't really hear them over the incubator fan. Hoping the next few days.
