Help with r-com max 20 incubator - need to know asap!

I got the Rcom max 20 and I am setting silkie eggs. I don't have the egg tray, only the universal try and dividers. If I set eggs on their side legthwise, how many can I set? It seems like when I put 4 in in row, some will roll against each other and make them sit at a weird angle and not turn. Do I only set them so they aren't touching at all (so less eggs) or can I fit 4? So confused and don't want to mess it up? Or should I just not use the dividers at all which means I can fit more eggs but they will roll all over? I'm doing this right now so I'm worried!

The egg tray is more secure on rolling the eggs. In the future please buy one. Its a must have on that incubator.

I understand that and I did order one at the same time as the incubator but it hasn't arrived yet. Therefore, I was hoping for guidance on using it without one since that is my only option.
