Hi everyone. From my last batch of chicks I have to two cockerels that need to be re-homed because I live in a city with a no-rooster policy.

I have a couple questions about re-homing
.
First-off, at what age should I try to re-home them? Is there a certain age that would make them more appealing to buyers? They are about 12 weeks now and I would like to get rid of them before they start crowing.

Secondly, how much should sell them for (if anything). I'm not trying to make money off of these guys but I want them to go to a responsible owner. Even if they do end up in a soup pot I want someone who will do it humanely.

The cockerels are a silver duckwing old english bantam and a bantam gold laced polish. Here is a picture from a few weeks ago for reference.

Hmm. Now Is probably a good age. I would do it as soon as possible. You could do like a 10-20$ for them both, mainly because they are bantams...

Post signs, with photos, at your local feed stores, and then there's craigslist, and any other contacts available.
Here there's a weekly small livestock auction nearby, another possibility if there's one near you.
