Hello all, I am new here, I have sick ducklingi don't know whats wrong with him, 10 days ago he fell from the stairs and he couldn't walk on his left foot, I took him to the doctor and he said it is only a bruised there is no fracture, days after he started to walk, but he couldn't walk properly, now I am experiencing this new problem and I don't know is it related to the bruise he had or It some disease, since yesterday he falls on his back, twist his neck, stratfh his wings and legs tonthe maximum, like he is dead, aftet one minute he came back on his feet, and this occurs every couple or more hours, I have another ducklings but it is not experienceing any problem, is this disease? Or he may be have a nerve system problem since he took the fall? Have u seen something like this?

What you describe sounds like possible seizure activity to me. If this behavior didn't manifest prior to the fall, it's possible that he suffered neurological impairment during that event. If it was my duckling, I'd start by trying to treat for vitamin deficiency, which is suspected to contribute to or be responsible for "stargazing" behavior. Here's a thread that may be helpful: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/wry-neck-stargazing-or-seizures.1184164/. In addition to treating for vitamin E deficiency, you may want to start treating for niacin deficiency if you're not already supplementing his feed with additional niacin - niacin deficiency can lead to leg problems in waterfowl. Best of luck!

Welcome to BYC. I am sorry he is giving you problems...
Since you just took him to the vet could you shoot an email to the vet or place a quick call to see what they have to say?
