i have 16 eggs in the bator and the temps are around 97-102! i cant get it consistent! the humidity is at around 45% (unless the gage is wrong) im really worried that i wont even get one hatch

what are the chances that not one hatches?

forced air with a turner, its a hova bator

is it the genesis? that is what I have (2 of them) and they have the preset the thermom. at 100*. Just try to get your temp. under control. What kind of room or where is it at?

i am not sure, ill take a pic tomorrow. its at the stems lab at my school. will i get atleast one hatch? i mean the temps aren;t too bad, and the temps of a hen arent perfect either

Is it new, or did you buy it used? How many thermometers are you using to check temp? Are you adjusting temp manually, and if so, how long are you waiting between each adjustment? What model hovabator? Are you opening the lid? And for the final question, is the top sitting evenly on the bottom, so it creates a good seal?

If I had to guess, you should get one to hatch if the temp. stays stable. Put the incubator in room where: 1. No sunlight strikes it. 2. The room has a stable temp.. 3. The room temp is around 70*F. Also, move the temp knob(of it has one) VERY little each time. They are very sensitive. Also put a DIGITAL thermometer in there (it is more accurate)

Where do you have the bator located? Sometimes it helps to wrap a blanket around the bator. It helps keep the heat in. If your room temp is fluctuating up and down, so will your bator. Since your eggs haven't been in long, I wouldn't worry just yet, but you need to keep that temp down under 100 degrees. I personally would rather see it on the low end rather than the high side. Good luck. Good hatching vibes.
