Help with this broody ..

My broody hen is on her 4th day now, but I have a problem, she is sitting on the eggs in the coop but the problem is that some chickens come to her while she is sitting and they lay their eggs on her eggs, can this be harmful to the broody's eggs ?

I doubt it. Others report that their broody steals eggs left by other hens, so mixing eggs is probably not hazardous. I would be more concerned about all the chicken traffic and the possibility of damaging eggs.

You might consider setting up a broody box where she can nest in peace.

I tried to separate the broody one by putting her with her eggs in a box out of the eyes of other hens but she every time return to the nest box which other chickens lay eggs regularly ... is here any solution experts

Hi there,

You can either try to separate her and give her her own area or you can just mark her eggs with a pencil and just check them when she hops of her nest every day.

Yes Mr crazy chook that is exactly what I do , ok no problem i will keep doing this every day but if she accept to stay in her separated area that will be better ,,,
