help with worming chickens.

my hens are ten months old,and i wormed them last week with verm-x.i have been seeing round worms in their poo.i was just reading
on byc forums.that if you see worms in their poo.that you have a heavy infestation.but,isn't that what the wormer does kills them and they pass them out in their poo.could anyone help me with this question.

yes, you've got it right. different meds work different ways either killing the worms or paralysing them so that the bird can pass them. it's not pretty common to see 'em in the poo after worming
