about my new hampshires weird behaviour today..... I only have 4 hens and havent seen her on the nest for a few days ... I usually get 3 eggs a day......... anyway she was in the fenced hen yard and was sitting like a penguin ... kind of straight up.... and she layed an egg in the yard..... the other hens were cackling up a ruckus ... so Im pretty sure thy were alarming something wrong.... .... the egg doesnt feel right weight, and its light brown and regular brown......... I havnt opened it yet..... NO roos around, do you think she was egg bound and what can I do/feed to prevent this? thanx in advance for any help
