Not a problem. If you call the hatchery they should make it right. They usually ask if you want it to go towards more chickens or they will just refund you for the chick.

I just got off the phone with Ideal Poultry and after I described the chick to the employee she said it wasn't a Silkie, but wasn't sure which it could be.

I told her we only want 9 chickens, so she refunded us the price of the chick.

We will see as it grows up which chicken breed it could be.
Mistake or not we'll keep it, the 4 of them are so cute, they run

around there cage/brooder playing follow the leader.
Are Silkies and Sultans sillier than Barred Rocks and Cochins when they are in a group?
My next adventure is to design an inside aviary for the Sultans, they will be coming inside at night and on colder than normal days (they are mom's chickens and she babies them).
And we have to finish the outside coop for the winter hardy 1's they will be able to go outside in a couple weeks.

Yes I think we/I are/am hooked on chickens.
