Help! Yellow discharge around comb, oozing. Multiple hens affected.

We have mature hens, all approximately 1 yr old. Several of the hens appeared today with this condition. There is some yellow discharge around their comb, and it is oozing down their feathers. See attached photos. Has anyone seen this before? They appear to be behaving normally. Thank you for looking!

Try to look and see if there is any wound or open area. If there is, put a little bit of Neosporin on it. Puss shows that there is a bacterial infection, especially if it is yellow.

Long shot, but could they be eating eggs? Sometimes egg eaters will be covered with yellow yolk like that.
