help young roo has a not on side of his head

j have a five month old roo that has a large cist type bulge on the side of his head. bought the size of your finger tip. should i be worried or will it bust open on its own. i wish i new how to put pics on here. anyone have any idea what it could be. he doesnt seem to be bothered with it. been there about a week.

Does it look anything like this? I noticed it today on my BR hen - though it involves her ear area too. I'm hoping she got stung by bee or something and it's not an abscess or something worse. She's acting normal.

The more I read about this, leads me to think my hen actually has an ear infection.

wow. thats it but bigger. so some type of antibiotic?
