hi! I'm so new to the chicken life! I have a Rhode Island Red that's been sitting on eggs for nearly 6 weeks
I have tested them and there were three left that were viable. I thought she had gone off her rocker and hadn't checked her in a couple days and tonight i went out and found a fluffy dry gray chick sitting next to her! I'm torn because I don't know if I need to take her out and put her under a heat lamp with food and water and see if the others hatch or if I should leave her with mom and hope that she gets why she needs? I candled the remaining eggs and they still look good but not ready still, so I'm afraid I'll lose the live one! I'd hate it after all this time
BUT if I do separate her she'll be all alone so is that any better? Please all advice welcome!!
