You can keep the chick in a brooder box with heat lamp. Give him a stuffed toy to cuddle. As other chickens hatch, you may want to bring them in to join the first one. Fortunately, hens don't nurse their babies. If you raise them inside by hand, they will be more sociable than if raised by their mother. Sometimes after a hen hatches a couple chicks, they decide they are finished and leave the other eggs to get cold. Maybe by bringing chicks in as they hatch, she would stay through hatching all the eggs.
