I just bought gold laced Wyandotte chicks. They are all supposed to be pullets they all have flat parts where there combs would be except for one. It has an apperant tiny comb. They are a couple days old. Could this be a sign of a rooster or a faster maturing hen?

Not necessarily. Wyandottes should have rose combs, hence the flat appearance. If you see the serrated look, that would be a single comb, meaning probably another breed. Although, I have heard of few instances of Wyandottes having single combs, depending on where the stock is from. Pictures would help to make a more accurate assumption!

Does the rest of that chick look exactly like the others? Does it have the same chipmunk stripe? They may have given you a different breed. That looks like the nub of a straight comb.

It is a straight comb but yes it has the same chipmunk stripe. They look very similar. But they all looked different in their faces when I was picking them out so I'm not sure.

Straight comb Wyandottes do pop up. You will know when the chick feathers out.
