Wow - you thief! (just joking!), congratulations, you got an awesome deal on that cabinet!

For chickens, your temp is just about spot-on, for humidity, you should bring it down somewhere between 35-45% for the first 18 days and then bump it up to 65% or 70% for the last days.

There are a lot of opinions on humidity and sometimes the climate in your location counts, plus the spot where you have the cabinet setting can influence humidity.... I think the numbers I give you are good, somebody else may say different

OK thanks. I used one of the digital weather stations for my temp and humidity. Wasn't for sure how that would work. The temp was spot on with a gqf probe thermometer that came with it

I think you're using the same digital station that a lot of us use... It does work, but let me tell you, it's really good to cover your bases and have more than one gauge - I have 3: the digital like you have, one analog temp/hygrometer from Zoo Med and another analog temp gauge. I set them in different locations in the bator to get a variety of readings for hot and cold spots.

That's awesome that the digital kept the same temp as your gqf.... Looks like you'll have poultry pouring out of that thing!

I should also revise my post above, I mentioned humidity between 35 - 45%, but that's a little high (for me, anyway). I've been keeping mine at 27 - 35%. At lockdown, I'll bump it up to 70%.

It lets the chick get into proper position for hatching.... On day 18, I'm going to take mine out of the turner and just lay them on the bator floor to hatch. I have some cushioned drawer liner on the floor, so it'll be easy on the chick feet. You can get a roll at the dollar store or at wal mart, in the kitchen wares department.
