Help!!!

Easy to build. Detailed plans. Looks good. I like it.

I agree that if your having chicks in there go with a heating pad. I use it for chicks in the spring and they are under the nesting boxes in the winter to keep the eggs from freezing.
 
So this is what I am thinking so far. Any suggestions or other ideas.

That design looks pretty good. I suggest one modification. You live in CO and probably will get a decent amount of snow in the run in winter. If you increase the height of one run wall (the side with the human access door) it'll give you a taller door to get in there easier and clear out the snow if you have to. Plus, if you tarp the resulting sloped run top, rain will run off and snow will slide easier off the back. Over time and as funds allow, it would be easy to add some lightweight roof panels to a sloped run top. That would do a much better job than a tarp would of keeping the run free of snow and wet and provide some shade in summer without adding much weight to the tractor.
