Ok, I am not a big one for airing my dirty laundry, but today was the last straw and I need help.
I am a mom of 3 kids, 40 chickens and 10 show Labradors.
I need a new place to live, this one wants me out, SOON.(my dear boyfriend, I have decided has some SERIOUS screws loose)
I need to find a place in the next month, where I can have my dogs, my kids and my chickens, and not feel the need to wake up defending any of them at any given time. OR putting myself between him and them.
IF anyone has a place for me to rent, beg, borrow or buy, please let me know. I need it to be able to house the dogs and chickens, and be legal doing so. I have my own kennel fencing, so a tight shed would work. My dogs are all very well behaved, and will not trash the property, I won't let them.
I have worked for years as a horse barn manager, I have shown dogs for 12 years, shown horses for about 20, was a bank teller for 5 years,Taught obedience for 10 years, Groomed for a major pet supply place for a year, I have a college degree in floral design, and was in management for my family business(farm stand, feed store, greenhouse) for 15 years. Have done wedding flowers, and can keep a job, although I lost my last one because of my car accident 2 months ago. My Dr. just signed off of my injuries, so I am good to go.
I do have some cash, enough to pay at least first, last and a couple of months..
So= Please, I am absolutely serious, I need a place and very soon, like before the end of January soon.
VERY willing to relocate states. Warmer than the Chicago area is a HUGE plus!!!
I am out of options around here, and need to get out.
Thanks. I know the BYC family will help find me something!!!

Hmmmmmmmmmmm you need to check Craigslist and the paper, ask around town, ask the friends you know in person and family.
I'm sure there are websites devoted to rentals etc. as well.

Don't wait for BYC to find a place for you. Good luck.

umm, yeah- done that, the dogs are the issue

If you want to move to So Cal, Riverside zoning allows more dogs if the lot is over a quarter acre. Someone at AKC told me once that more dogs are registered from Riverside, CA than any other city because of their generous dog zoning. Ooops, last February they passed zoning on no roosters... shucks! Well, there are still a lot of roosters in Riverside, just if someone complains, you have to place them elsewhere. Good luck. I tossed out a BF a few days before Xmas about three years ago. Not fun, but had to be done. My house, my rules. No cheating.
